We went for dinner on the Friday night of the Memorial Day Weekend and it was quite busy. Rachel was our server. She was very attentive and even though she was busy, she didnt show it when interacting with her customer's. We enjoyed our meal very much. We had the Gumbo and Fish and Chips. The Gumbo was nice and spicy with lots of very tender meat. The fish was fresh and the coating was light and cooked just right. We'll be back! ????
Have gone past The Black Horse Tavern over the years, but never stopped. Today we were all hungry and I knew the Tavern was right up the road. Friendly staff, nice ambiance, great food, reasonable prices all make this the reason I'll definitely be stopping there again. The other two with me felt the same way. Highly recommended.
Very comfortable setting with great food! It was a busy night but the servers were quick and friendly. The food was excellent and even my kids cleaned their plates. Will definitely plan on returning when I am back in the area.
Came here 6-1-21 Friday. The corned beef sandwich was so fatty I had to return it and had pastrami instead. The french fries were frozen and nothing to write home about. The sour dough bread wad tasteless and had no flavor. The seafood.soup was good but not really hot. If you dont like your meal just return it and get something else. I will not be back. ????
We ordered the zucchini sticks, stuffed mushrooms, and fried pickles. The fried food was perfect but the serving size of the mushrooms was lacking. We had the scallop special which was overpriced for the quality and size. The scallops were not even pan seared before going in the oven but at least the cracker topping was nicely browned. Service was great but it can get busy at times. I'd suggest getting wings, a cold beer on tap, and avoid a dinner special at this local long lived establishment.
