We have been lucky with campgrounds in our first year of camping. This is another awesome campground! The waterfront sites are as advertised, you are next to the water. The campground is kept very nice. The bathrooms, rec room, showers are modern and clean. The beach and lake are beautiful with easy access. We were fortunate enough to have a site right on the beach and it was the best. If you have children, the playground is very nice and plenty of activities for them. Seasonal campers were friendly and the owner and staff were super friendly and helpful. We booked the same site for next year. Thank you Gretchen, Sandy, and Norm, it was nice meeting you! I have been a seasonal here for 8 years . My kids have great time here with plenty to do. So much in fact we live here in the summer and my son now works here. As for the owner if you come into our campground with an attitude your darn right she will have something to say about it. We are a drama free camp and love it that way. And as for the wounded German Shepherd you know that dog was injured and stays with her owner because she is healing right?? Since you mentioned it. She is the nicest dog ever so don't judge. Next time come to our home in a respectable manner and you'll be treated the same
I have enjoyed my stay at Vacationland. The campground is like a home away from home where everyone is friendly and welcoming. The lake is perfect for my kids and the activities are perfect for my family. The themed weekends make me want to return every year. The owner takes pride in her campground and responds immediately to any concern.
